2009 Music City Walk Of Fame Induction Ceremony
Sunday November 8th was a bright, beautiful day in Nashville and over one thousand fans were on hand to join Music City Ambassador David Andersen at the 7th Music City Walk of Fame Induction Ceremony.
Music legends Dolly Parton, Charlie Daniels, Zac Brown and Kid Rock were on stage with Andersen as he played their music for the gathered crowd. The Governor of Tennessee Phil Bredesen, Mayor Karl Dean, Country Music Hall of Fame members Little Jimmie Dickens and Harold Bradley were on hand to induct the honorees and spoke eloquently of their impact on our culture.
The five stars were awarded to Ernest Tubb, Tootsie Bess, Charlie Daniels, Dolly Parton and Kid  Rock. As each star was saluted, Andersen played their signature song to the hushed crowd. Flash bulbs were popping as press photogs gathered to commemorate this historic event for the ages. At the beginning of the event, emcee Bill Cody announced a big thank you to the Ambassador of Music City, David Andersen!
Later, when legendary Nashville guitarist Harold Bradley was introduced he said he was proud to have played guitar with Ernest Tubb in the 1940Õs, and he wanted to salute the musicians and told the crowd that one of the best guitarists in Nashville is ÒDavid Andersen,  a great, great guitar player It was a big honor for David to be saluted by his own guitar hero.
The event was covered by all the TV networks and many press outlets around the world. After the ceremony, Dolly, Charlie and Kid Rock thanked Andersen for his music and were gracious to pose for photos with him. It was great day for Music City and a great day for David Andersen, Music City Ambassador
